The Elder Law Firm Profile

Our law firm is located near Jackson, MS, in the Barnett Reservoir area, which is now incorporated into Flowood, MS. The mission of our firm is to resolve elder issues and that’s why we named it The Elder Law Firm.

Our services include estate planning, Medicaid asset preservation, Medicaid applications, probate of estates and conservatorships. Many hardworking people lose their life’s earnings because of long-term care needs and the lack of proper planning. We help seniors retain their dignity while passing along their family estate - no matter how large or small.

Richard H. Young

Richard H. Young is the founder of The Elder Law Firm and is an elder law and trust attorney. He received an undergraduate degree in history at the University of Southern Mississippi and his Juris Doctorate degree from the Mississippi College School of Law. Before practicing law, he was a farmer, salesman, and a high school history teacher.

Mr. Young made the transition to elder law after a lengthy career in litigation. His compassion for senior citizens and their need to protect their assets led to his decision.

Mr. Young is a Member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and Elder Counsel. These exclusive national organizations are dedicated to assisting senior citizens with their legal issues.

Rush Busbee

Rush Busbee is a senior financial advisor at our firm. His extensive financial background began in the early 1970s.

This experience includes over 20 years of executive positions in the banking industry and 15 years of financial and management consulting with EncorEnterprises, PLLC.

Mr. Busbee has a deep commitment towards senior issues and utilizes innovative solutions to challenging circumstances.

Molly Brown

Molly Brown is the executive legal assistant to Mr. Young. She received her BBA from Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, TN. She has an outstanding legal background with over 30 years of experience working with some of the most prestigious firms in the Jackson area.

Molly is both creative and well organized. Combined with her cheerful personality and exceptional legal expertise, she provides the comfortable assurance that our senior clients appreciate - especially at some of the most critical times of their lives.

As an integral member of the team, Molly shares our goals and supports the mission of The Elder Law Firm.

Tiffany Holman

Tiffany Holman, Paralegal at The Elder Law Firm, is a native of Rankin County. She attended both Meridian Community College and Hinds Community College on soccer scholarships. Tiffany received a paralegal certificate from Belhaven University and has over a decade of experience in the legal field.

At The Elder Law Firm, Tiffany handles probate, conservatorships and guardianships and assists with the cases from the initial meeting with clients until the matter is closed.

She is a pleasure to work with and provides clients with caring assistance, a warm smile and comforting advice.
